SSP Insurer in 2025: momentum, milestones and meaningful impact
As 2025 draws to a close, it’s clear this has been a year of real momentum for SSP Insurer. We’ve built this momentum through steady progress, meaningful partnerships and work that genuinely moved the needle for insurers across the world.
It was a year defined by people, collaboration and technology coming together in practical ways, helping insurers build the systems and strategies they need to thrive in a fast-changing market.
Thought leadership
Throughout the year, SSP played an active role in shaping conversations around intelligence-driven policy platforms, embedded insurance and the role of digital ecosystems in modern insurance.
Clinton Da Costa Brown (Solutions Sales Advisor) spoke at InsureTalk on Embedded insurance: Beyond the buzzword and joined a panel at Cover TechFest to unpack what digitisation really means for insurers. Sucheta Mohan’s (Head of Professional Services & Product Management) article on moving towards intelligence-driven insurance reached audiences through Cover Magazine and African Insurance Magazine, while the SSP newsroom featured commentary from Leslie Muthen (Head of Territory, Africa) on change management and Bal Badhan (Strategic Global Sales and Account Strategist)on the growing influence of AI in policy administration.
The common thread across all these contributions was a focus on application rather than theory. How technology supports people. How intelligence improves outcomes. How platforms evolve to meet real market needs.
Recognition, renewals and customer confidence
That focus was reflected in strong external recognition and sustained customer commitment. SSP was named a Functionality Standout in Celent's 2025 APAC and EMEA PAS and maintained consistent global service ratings with a solid Green RAG status.
Equally important were the quieter signals of trust. Long-term partnerships were extended, renewals secured and customers continued to invest in upgrades to existing solutions, reinforcing confidence in SSP’s platforms and roadmap.
Showing up across the globe
In 2025, SSP maintained a visible and engaged presence across key industry events.
- At the African Insurance Exchange in Sun City, conversations centred on real-time capabilities and what they enable for insurers today.
- In Addis Ababa, the African Insurance Organisation Conference provided space to discuss modernisation and cloud readiness in diverse markets.
- In London, InsurTech Insights brought together the global community, with Bal Badhan, Jessica Anklett (Account Manager, UK), Sandra Thorpe (Project Specialist) and Marcia Le Roux (Marketing Manager) representing SSP, supported by Sucheta Mohan at a panel event, Ecosystems Beyond Borders: Building Collaborative Networks for Distribution Success, hosted at the O2 Arena.
- At the African Insurance Indaba in Sun City, South Africa, Leslie Muthen presented a compelling session titled “Digital Innovations: Navigating the Technological Landscape.
Each event created opportunities for connection, learning and collaboration, strengthening relationships that go beyond any single project.
Delivery milestones
Behind the scenes, delivery teams achieved substantial results across regions. In Zimbabwe, an accelerated policy administration system implementation was completed in just five months, including mobile money integration and real-time reconciliation. In the Bahamas, multiple products went live with hands-on support from SSP teams.
A tier 1 insurer utilising SSPs release train strategy reached 12 months of consistent delivery, ensuring continuous innovation without disruption. At platform level, the successful migration of SSP systems to AWS strengthened scalability and operational resilience.
In the UK and Americas region the team achieved a significant number of contract renewals extending our valued long-term relationships. We are immensely proud to work with our strategic partners and look forward to contributing to our customer’s success.
In the APAC region, it was a particularly strong year for the Pure Insurance team. Major milestones included the addition of a new logo in New Zealand, expansion into new territories across the Pacific and a completed upgrade programme with several more upgrades currently under way for existing customers. Contract renewals continued, reflecting long-standing trust, while increased local capability allowed for more efficient triage and faster, more effective responses to customer needs.
A significant highlight was the renewal and expansion of SSP’s partnership with Ando Insurance Group, one of New Zealand’s leading multi-line underwriting agencies.
As part of this collaboration, Ando will upgrade to the latest version of the Pure Insurance system, reinforcing its commitment to a modern, flexible and scalable platform designed to support future growth and improved customer experience.
It was also a great year for Select and I90 in the APAC region. The team achieved significant milestones including long term contract extension for two key clients, successful delivery of several important client initiatives and a major Select upgrade currently progressing with a major client.
Staying connected to communities
Alongside commercial progress, SSP remained committed to community engagement. In South Africa, the adoption of the Heartfelt Project brought handcrafted gifts to industry events, adding a human touch to professional spaces. In the UK, support for local schools through interview development initiatives helped prepare learners for the world of work.
Looking ahead
Above all, 2025 will be remembered as a year shaped by collaboration and shared purpose. Stronger partnerships. Smarter systems. And people, across markets and teams, pulling in the same direction.
As we move into 2026, the focus remains on building depth. Expect more webinars, deeper insights, continued engagement on the ground and steady progress along SSP’s intelligence evolution roadmap.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to shaping the future of insurance together in 2026.
