JNGI extends its strong relationship with SSP

JN General Insurance (JNGI) has renewed its contract with SSP for a further 3 years, committing to SSP until 2024. Providing motor, home and business insurance across Jamaica, JNGI first became a customer of SSP in March 2005. With strong plans around digitalisation and improving their customer interface, JNGI greatly values the ability to customise the SSP software and its functionality to meet its evolving requirements.

Alongside the flexibility of the SSP system, the strong relationship JNGI has built with the SSP team around the shared core value of service is another key factor behind the long-standing relationship. The SSP team’s willingness to engage with JNGI and find solutions has provided valuable support to JNGI as it continues to innovate and grow.

During the coronavirus pandemic, JNGI were able to harness the flexibility of the SSP system to offer customers an online-only offering, allowing full quote by renewal for motor and (a first for Jamaica) home insurance. In addition, it also became the first Jamaican insurer to offer short-term motor insurance policies, which was a valuable feature for those facing financial challenges.

Colin Greenhill, Chief Executive at SSP, said:
“I’m delighted that we’re continuing our relationship with JNGI, taking our relationship with them close to the 20 year mark.

“We take great pride in our long-term relationship with JNGI and how our software has helped the company grow and offer innovative solutions, not least during the coronavirus pandemic when we worked with them to launch features that helped Jamaicans through a very challenging time. I look forward to this relationship lasting many more years.”

Chris Hind, General Manager at JNGI, said:
“We have always found SSP willing to support our business strategies as we have grown and developed over the years. It is a relationship that is open and honest and one that is constantly improving. As a mutual, service is very important to us as we help Jamaica and Jamaicans to find a way, and we have seen time and time again that SSP shares this core value.
